Legal · Remote contract
Teach AI to think like a lawyer.
Leading AI labs need lawyers to write hard legal questions, check model analysis, and catch misstated law and invented citations that a non-lawyer would accept. Remote, flexible, paid hourly.
What you'll do
- Write hard legal questions and fact patterns in your practice area, with reference answers and the authorities that support them.
- Review AI answers for misstated law, invented or mismatched citations, and issues the model missed.
- Compare and rank model responses, and explain in writing which analysis holds up and why.
- Write and correct step-by-step legal reasoning and grading rubrics, so models learn how a lawyer actually reaches a conclusion.
Who we're looking for
- A JD, LLB or equivalent law degree.
- A licensed attorney, solicitor or barrister, or 2+ years of legal practice in areas like litigation, corporate, or regulatory work.
- Strong legal research and writing. You can spot a weak argument or a citation that does not say what it claims.
- You write clearly in English.
- You use AI tools and can tell a confident answer from a correct one. The assessment checks this.

Why Navaday
Ten minutes to get assessed
No hour-long trial task and no resume upload to start. Apply with your name and email, then take a 10-minute multiple-choice assessment. You find out quickly whether you move forward.
Vetted for AI fluency, not just a resume
Staffing agencies stop at your CV. We also check how well you work with AI: spotting its mistakes, judging its answers, and telling it clearly what good looks like. That is the skill this work actually uses.
Terms up front
Before you accept a project, you see what the task is, roughly how long it takes, and the hourly rate. Say yes to the work that fits and pass on the rest.
Questions
What does the assessment cover?
15 multiple-choice questions, about 10 minutes: 5 quick reasoning questions, 5 on working with AI (spotting made-up sources, checking an agent's claims, catching hidden instructions) and 5 on AI in your field. Strong scorers then explain one flawed AI answer in a sentence or two. No personal questions.
How much does it pay?
The work is paid hourly. Rates depend on the project and the level of expertise it needs, so we do not post one number here. You always see the rate before you accept a project.
How much time do I need to commit?
You choose which projects to take on. Work is remote, and hours vary by project. Each invitation tells you what the work involves before you commit, so you can fit it around your job, research, or studies.
Who is the work for?
Leading AI labs and AI companies that build and test large language models. They need specialists to write hard problems, check model reasoning, and flag answers a non-expert would accept. Client names are confidential.
What happens after I pass?
We email you about next steps. That usually means confirming your background and field, then onboarding for a specific project when one matches. Passing qualifies you for matching. It does not guarantee a project.
Can I apply from anywhere?
Right now we can place experts based in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. If you are somewhere else, apply anyway and we will email you when projects open in your region.
What do you do with my information?
We use your name and email to send you the assessment, follow up if you do not finish it, and contact you about projects that match your field. See our privacy policy for details.
